The Solution Works is formed in July 1994 by its three partners, John Shiveral, Russell Sneddon and Andrew McKelvie, who met at school and studied together at the University of Glasgow, obtaining honours degrees in Computer Science.

TheatreWorks is released to assist in the management of operating theatre session lists and the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures.

eWARD (developed with Falkirk & District Royal Infirmary) is released to assist in the management of care provided to hospital inpatients and to automate the production of discharge documentation.

New market: Ireland - TSW expands into the waste management and recycling industries in Ireland.
