Custom Solutions Case Study

We have added a new case study to showcase how we developed a custom solution for NHS Health Scotland.

The Solution Works managed the project, developed a custom web-based software solution to meet the project's objectives, delivered the solution on time and within budget, presented training to end users of the new software, and provided additional expertise throughout the project.

Erica Stewart-Jones, Health Scotlands Learning and Development Advisor stated "The system is great. It is really easy to use and our staff have picked it up with no problems at all."

eWARD - Nursing Handover and Bed Management

TSW is delighted to announce the release of new eWARD functionality to support Nursing Handover and Bed Management.

The Nursing Handover functionality supports the handover of patient care by nursing staff between shifts to ensure that they are aware of the status of each patient on each ward.

The Bed Management functionality provides an intuitive user interface (designed to support SMART Boards and other interactive displays, including drag-and-drop) encouraging real-time update of patient movements and enabling management of ward capacity on a day-to-day basis.

The new Nursing Handover and Bed Management functionality is currently being piloted by NHS Forth Valley and has been well-received by users.

eWARD and The Scottish Pharmacist Awards

TSW is delighted to announce that NHS Forth Valley received further recognition for its achievements in The Scottish Pharmacist Awards, which took place at the Edinburgh International Convention Centre on 27 February 2010. eWARD is at the centre of a revised pharmacy workflow at NHS Forth Valley, enabling increased efficiency and effectiveness of the Pharmacy team.

NHS Forth Valley won the awards for Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year and Innovation and Change in Pharmacy Practice.

Providing Development Resources Case Study

Elemos Launched

Elemos, a comprehensive multi-discipline software solution for the recycling and waste management sector has been launched in the USA by TSWUS.

The Solution Works has entered into a strategic partnership with TSWUS. Donny Malloy and Frank Mutel will be joining TSWUS and the Elemos team to help the development of Elemos.

TSWUS Begins

The management team of The Solution Works has launched a new company in the USA to meet demand for its recycling management software.

The new company TSWUS, LLC was formed on 19 March and is based in Houston, Texas.

The Solution Works has launched its new website which is powered by ASP.NET 3.5 in conjunction with XHTML 1.0, CSS 2.0 and JQuery.

A key aim of the new website is to adhere to up-to-date web standards and hence it is XHTML 1.0 compliant and built using CSS 2.0. We have tried to make the website as accessible as possible by adhering to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 and performing cross-browser testing.

New offices purchased at Braehead

The management team is delighted to announce the purchase of new offices at the Riverside Braehead business centre, which is located midway between Glasgow Airport and Glasgow City Centre.

The new office premises will allow The Solution Works to be more accessible to their clients and accommodate future growth.

Since being certified in 1996, this is the fourth time The Solution Works has been recertified and demonstrates our ongoing and long standing commitment to quality.

eWARD in the news

The Solution Works' medical product "eWARD" has been praised by NHS Forth Valley for facilitating improvements in patient care.

The use of eWARD by NHS Forth Valley has halved prescription waiting times. eWARD allows doctors and pharmacists to communicate more effectively and have drug and dispensing information available at their fingertips via hand-held devices or laptops.

As of the 1st of November The Solution Works has converted from a partnership to a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), establishing The Solution Works LLP as a legal entity in its own right rather than merely being a trading name of its three partners.
